Size doesn't matter! Ant-Man proves this like no other. The hero firstly appeared in "Tales To Astonish" in 1962. Back then, Hank Pym was the man behind the mask. The brilliant biophysicist had developed a suit that shrank its wearer to the size of an ant. Moreover, the appertaining helmet enabled him to talk to ants and control them. This comes in handy when you have to defend your picnic, but also in order to achieve heroic deeds. Ant-Man is the co-founder of the Avengers, the superhero team Ant-Man and the Wasp as well as an ally of the Fantastic Four. After Hank Pym took off his costume, it was stolen by the criminal Scott Lang, who however soon collaborated with Pym, thus becoming the next Ant-Man. This is the story of the 2015 Marvel movie about the superhero. Actually, it was supposed to tell the tale of the first Ant-Man Hank Pym, but his past as a comic figure was apparently too turbulent and not family-friendly enough to put it on screen. Alcohol problems, domestic violence, multiple personality disorder - the whole gamut. This is why Scott Lang's story was preferred, as he is a decent chap after all despite his criminal past. Fans of Ant-Man may look forward. He will have cameos in several future Marvel movies, and a sequel is scheduled for 2018: "Ant-Man and the Wasp".
