Belgium's answer to Kreator! The Dying deliver a breathtaking debut that just oozes with rage and aggression like all total Thrash metal should.

EMP Editorial Team:

The Belgians had already released two albums and had a solid fan base under the name of Chimaera. But two years ago, they decided to change their name to The Dying to avoid confusions with Chimaira. "Triumph of tragedy" is some kind of a debut - and what a debut that is… Singer Jan Bavik reminds me rather often of Kreator's Mille - and the boys are not too far away from these legends regarding sound.. Their aggressive Thrash Metal with a dash of Metalcore emphasises straight, rough riffs, fast tracks and the apt vocals: throaty and dark. The eleven tracks are pretty catchy, inviting you to wreck your neck. The dynamic production adds extra zest and turns "Triumph of tragedy" into an aggressive Thrash monster. Tracks like "Blessed with tragedy", "Killing the drama" and "Jesus the Judas" are pure fun and real stress killers. (Markus Wosgien / 03.11.2008)
