Sogndal? The name of this Norwegian area will evoke wonderful memories of their beautiful music in all stalwart Windir fans - but it will also be a sad memory and remind them of unique artist Valfar (R.I.P.). Now, another Sogndal band sets off to add a new name to the shopping list of any sophisticated Viking Black Metal aficionado. Mission accomplished: Mistur are cut from the same cloth as Windir. Their awesome debut album "Attende" is simply intoxicating! The great and stunning compositions done by this extremely versatile sextet are timeless, classy gems. These Scandinavian music wizards manage to put deep emotions and an eerie, tragic atmoshere into their songs. Plus, it is fantastic -and adds to the overall overwhelming impression- that Windir's leading axe, Strom, is once again on top of his art on "Attende". (Markus Eck / 24.07.2009 )
