Probably no other bandhas so loyal devoted fans like the California Gothpunks A FIRE INSIDE, briefly AFI: with every album they release mass hysteria all around the globe in their fan club "The Despair Faction, their tours are sold out within less hours, and their fans let themselves tattoo the band logo by the dozen. The last album, "Sing the sorrow" reached platinum status in the States. Now a new album is there and like the predecessor it was produced by Jerry Finn, who also worked with Green Day, Blink 182,
Bad Religion , Pennywise , Rancid and Offspring.

Since “Sing the sorrow“ released in 2003, the four Californians are true rock stars -at least in the U.S.. They changed from the indie-label, Nitro, to major industries and sold more than a million records, had with “Girl's not grey“ an MTV hit and sold out the biggest festivals and arenas. A surprising success that should continue with their seventh album, “Decemberunderground“. Because here, too, you get a killer single and plenty of material that should appeal to a huge range of consumers. No wonder with their unique style-mix of spherical, morbid industrial sounds, heavy punkrock and catchy pop songs. A.F.I. (which stands for A Fire Inside) is the connecting link between Nine Inch Nails, Misfits and Good Charlotte. Which also reflects in the gloomy lyrics. The 13 songs turn out to be a trip into a cold, gloomy underworld that serves as a pool for all like-minded people - for outsiders, rejects and freaks. A scenario like from a Tim Burton film!
