Some heavy metal fans moan, as soon as they hear the name Running Wild, the rest will cheer. "The rivalry" offers everything the pirate-heart wants. It took them almost three years to finish this new album. But still or maybe therefore it's hard as hell. Slow songs? Not with rock'n'Rolf. The title song "Firebreather" will soon be one of the classics of the band. Again there is a story: The battle of light and darkness (if you like this band a lot of thinking is inevitable).

Undoubtedly, one of the best albums of the band captained by Rock 'n' Rolf. Released in 1998, it can be considered one of the great classics alongside Under Jolly Roger, Death Or Glory, Pile Of Skulls and others.
The album begins with the captivating instrumental introduction "March Of The Final Battle" which was used for a long time as opening the shows.
Next, we have the title track with a powerful riff and a memorable guitar solo.
The album continues with all the songs in a very high level of quality, being difficult to highlight some, but "The Ballad Of William Kidd" stands out with a very beautiful introduction and unique melody with many variations.
Another highlight of the album is the drummer Jörg Michael with his heavy style and precise technique. The guy beats without mercy.
The album ends with "War & Peace", another Rock 'n' Rolf masterpiece.
At last, a perfect album, from beginning to end.
