In November 2012, the multiplatinum rock legends Guns N’ Roses took the American desert by storm, giving one of their hottest concert performances in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock Casino club “The Joint”. During the almost three hour long set, the band practically exploded, playing their greatest hits along with almost every milestone classics that Guns N’ Roses made history with.
‘Appetite for Democracy’ was Guns N’ Roses’ first official concert film since their 1992 live video film Use Your Illusion. It contains brand new performances of classic GN’R songs, from their groundbreaking 1987 debut album ‘Appetite For Destruction’, their 1988 album ‘Lies’ and their 1991 albums ‘Use Your Illusion I’ and ‘Use Your Illusion II’ to more recent favourites from the 2008 album ‘Chinese Democracy’. Additionally, ‘Appetite For Democracy 3D’ contains a few distinctive covers of songs such as Paul McCartney’s ‘Live and Let Die’ and Bob Dylan’s ‘Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door’ alongside vigorous interpretations of ‘The Seeker’, a classic by The Who, and Pink Floyd’s ‘Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)’. Also included are live versions of Bumblefoot’s ‘Objectify’, with the Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal as lead singer, and Tommy Stinson's ‘Motivation’, in which Stinson takes over the vocals.
