Good things come to those who wait: Three years after the last release Resilient (2013) Running Wild can finally announce the title and release date of their latest album: Rapid Foray will be released on August 26th, 2016 as a box set, digipak and as a double LP. Band leader Rolf Kasparek asks to excuse the long wait: "Unfortunately, I was quite limited due to a broken shoulder for more than 12 months from spring 2014 on, so again and again the working on the new songs had to be delayed. Additionally, I had to prepare intensively for the Wacken appearance then, which has also taken a lot of time. All the more I am happy now to be able to present the Running Wild fans with an extra great new work." Kasparek promises his fans one of the most versatile discs of the whole Running Wild career, eleven varied pieces with great attention to details. "The new songs are more complex than those of the last two releases," Kasparek reveals, "I particularly noticed this when playing the guitar. At the same time the pieces remind me partly of some Running Wild classics. Overall I think we created a very interesting and compelling mixture." Rapid Foray was produced by Rolf Kasparek and the sound engineer was Niki Nowy, they also mixed and mastered the material together. The cover artwork is based on a photo that Kasparek shot by himself and that was then refined with the look of an oil painting by Jens Reinhold (Virgin Steele, Freedom Call).
