The Swedish Viking/Melodic Death Metal steamrollers Amon Amarth are back on the scene with their successor to their 2013 opus "Deceiver of the gods" - a welcome sign of life by Johan Hegg and his wild horde. Regarding song-writing and sound on "Jomsviking", the outfit is reliable as usual, presenting us with a remarkable album.

Portion of a powerful, aggressive and rapid metal

Record Jomsviking originates from the composition "First Kill", which gives a portion of a powerful, aggressive and rapid metal coated with crude and brutal vocals.
Technically, the group is very well prepared, builds various riffs, though often by the book of heavy metal. Nevertheless, the team is trying to create a variety of music, with songs sound pretty similar.
I like the guitar solos on this album, they performed very melodic and always bring in the track portion of charm.
The main revelation was the song "On A Sea Of Blood", in the introduction that a great sharp guitar riff, perfectly combining a low note, as medium and high responsible for the melody. Also in the song has some nice harmonic transitions in parts of the couplet. The compositions have a very rough part of the typical heavy metal rhythms.
